Cannon opened its doors in Excelsior Springs in June, 1991, making it the oldest full-line Chrysler dealer in the Kansas City metro area. The dealership is one of five dealerships, all in the Midwest, to be owned by the same company. The Cannon family has over 300 years of combined service in the automobile industry.

Cannon Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep is involved in the community. Each year the dealership provides two scholarships to graduating seniors for continuing education. Cannon donates the "DARE" car used by the Excelsior Springs Police Department. Cannon is a major sponsor of the Gregg Williams Golf Tournament and Mineral Water Bowl Game. Cannon is a member of the Excelsior Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Guy Cannon, owner of Cannon Chrysler, recently presented $500 scholarships to Michael Harmes (left) and Patrick Rippeto, both members of the Excelsior Springs High School Class of 2006. Rippeto, the son of Mark and Vicki Rippeto, plans to major in instrumental music education for the secondary level at Northwestern Missouri State University.
